Today we have been taking part in the Big Garden Birdwatch – an event which encourages people to record the birds visiting their garden over an hour period. You might, then, logically think that today I would share with you some avian subjects. Truthfully, I’d thought about it, but I didn’t want my clumsy attempts at wildlife photography to negatively effect our count. Also, earlier in the week we were given a beautiful bouquet of tulips and the low winter light streaming through them was too good to miss.
When the world seems dark, it’s important to remember that somewhere the sun is shining. Even the hardest winters ultimately give way to spring. And new life will come. That, of course, doesn’t mean that we should be passive. But that our active attempts to bring light into the world should be done with hope for the times to come.
