SUNO SITELEN – So why such a strange name?  Last year my wife and I started learning the fantastic micro language Toki Pona.  The very small vocab list (less than 140 words total vs over 171,000 in English) forces the user to consider what they’re thinking and how best to get the core of that information across.  It’s very useful in creative thought and expression.  There is no word Toki Pona word for photograph.  But, when you think about it, photograph is a pair of words we see as one.  The Greek words for ‘light’ and ‘drawing’ combine to give us photograph.  And so Suno Sitelen.  Light Picture.

And what about me?  I’m a self taught photographer.  I’m particularly fond of macro work and the interactions between photography and other media.  I am starting this blog hoping to force myself to share more of my work more regularly.  Hopefully posting once a week starting in 2017.

If there’s anything else you want to know, just ask.  Or look through my photos and see what you can find there.
